Two fabulous trends I have been dying to try, finally happened this swell Friday evening. Went out for sushi so neon and tie-dye seemed totally appropriate.
Ever since I brought my Caggie ‘Made in Chelsea’ denim top I have been loving denim on denim, to the extent that I cannot find my top as I think someone in my family has hidden it, to stop me excessively wearing it.
On the street and catwalks of Sydney Fashion Week I spotted a fair bit of denim on denim, and it looks fabulous.
I wore denim on denim, with a vintage necklace and top and red desert boots. I copied the models as grey breaks it up but does not over shadow the denim, if that makes sense. It would look fabulous with something neon preferably orange or yellow, I shall be on the look out!
If I could have been anywhere in the world over the past week it would have been Sydney Spring Summer 2012/13 fashion week. I am literally drooling over the pictures, so much Aussie talent on show it’s heavenly. The Aussie models are all stunning as well, my favorite is Nicole Pollard. I was fortunate enough to help on a photo shoot she was in not long ago and she is such a great model and nice girl, most definitely one to watch! Here is my very compressed wish list.
This whole Zimmermann attire, beach must have
Entire Camilla look, perfectly styled. Need the shell necklace!
These ksubi leather pants are a necessity
A Johanna Johnson head piece. I would pair it with my future ksubi leather pants, Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2012 heels (you know the ones, ultra feminine type with a modern vibe) and a vintage fur. The options are endless!
Ahhhh so in love with the whole Aje collection, without a doubt my favorite collection, and it is their first time showing at MBFWA, what overachievers! The vibe is very Balmain meeting the coolness Alexander Wang Spring 2010, so basically if you are looking for a cool party outfit this is your go to collection. Honestly could not pick the best look but this is one is top five so every single piece is now on my wish list.
Have a look at all the collections on Vogue
Without a doubt that is the best saying ever… The more jewelry the better, the more lollies and chocolate the better, completely proving my point. My Vogue just arrived in the mail, always thrilling, and the first two advertisements I spied, displayed that right now more is more, and well what Vogue says we all must do. Daria is on the cover, what a super star and glamazon, if I could look like anyone I think I would choose her or Magdalena, tough choice! Daria is rocking Balmain as per usual.
What do the two have in common? An abundance of jewelry, get layering gals and if you are game add some glitz too the mix. A lot of people believe that glitzy jewelry it too dressy for day time, but I think it is utterly perfect! Not only do you look the most stylish but you are one of a few who sparkle during both day and night! Sequins during the day is also a glitzy option. This sequin bag accompanies me on many outings.
This is the perfect ‘More is More’ necklace. It’s by Tom Binns from net-a-porter
In other news Marie Claire editor Jackie Frank and I chatted on twitter, well a little, but still we are now practically good friends, if only she took me to Sydney Fashion Week with her, her is hoping for next year!
